Rod Stewart makes a full recovery from his leg and ankle injury and is seen for the first time without his cast and crutches in over a year.

Music legend Rod Stewart and his model wife Penny Lancaster head out to their youngest son’s football match on Sunday in Rod’s favourite teams colours.

The pair were chatting and laughing on the side line as they cheered on the team. Rod has played a keen part as a part time coach of the team and was even joined by his second eldest son Liam at the game.

Rod has been in a cast for the past year after major surgery on his ankle but was looking fighting fit as he danced around the sideline showing Penny his own football skills.

Penny wore a long white Nike coat as she sat for part of the game, playing the football mum role.
