19th - 28th OCTOBER 2012 SYDNEY AUSTRALIA..EXCLUSIVE PICTURES..The Toughest Firefighter Alive event was a hotly contested event, held over 5 days, and comprising of 4 stages. Stage 3 consisted of transporting a dragging two extension ladders approximately 20 metres, a short sprint of 20 metres, then carrying a 20 litres drum of water up four storeys of scaffold. Once at the top the competitor hauled a length of hose aloft, then carried the 20 litre drum back down the four storeys to the ground. The final task was to fit a nozzle to a ground monitor before completing a short sprint to the finish line. Competitors competed against the clock to amass a time over the four stages.
