His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge is the guest of honour at the Met's parade for the newest police constables passing out at the Hendon Police Complex in London.
Alongside Commissioner Cressida Dick, The Duke of Cambridge inspects the 182 new recruits who, following the parade, will be posted to boroughs across London.
The passing-out parade is a traditional ceremony that has taken place at Hendon since 1934 and marks the transition from trainee police officer to probationer.
His Royal Highness is pictured planting a cherry tree to commemorate his visit in the Met's Memorial garden, as his brother, Prince Harry, did on his visit to Hendon in October last year.
